The release of GRAFIS 25 coincides with the launch of a revised GRAFIS plugin for VStitcher.
The new GRAFIS plugin for VStitcher brings significant improvements to the collaboration between 2D sectional design with GRAFIS CAD and 3D visualization with VStitcher.
Here are the most important new features for the transfer from GRAFIS 25 to VStitcher:
Symmetrical parts: symmetrical pattern pieces in GRAFIS are now optionally also symmetrical parts in VStitcher. This makes it easier to set seam textures and line properties and speeds up the workflow considerably.
No assignment of seam properties in GRAFIS: Properties such as ruffle, reinforcement and puffy are no longer stored in the GRAFIS sewing interface. Instead, only the inner lines are selected for transfer.
Definition of properties directly in VStitcher: Seam and line properties are now defined exclusively in VStitcher. These seam and line properties are retained during an update. This creates a clear separation between the object transfer and the subsequent design process in VStitcher.
The new plugin for VStitcher offers extended functionality for the transfer from VStitcher to GRAFIS 25:
DXF export: styles can be exported directly from VStitcher in DXF format. This is particularly useful when designers draw in new lines or change contour lines. These modified parts can be easily transferred to the GRAFIS source style as comparison parts.
Graded style: If the style is graded in VStitcher, all sizes are transferred during export. This enables a complete transfer of the size information.
Selective import into GRAFIS: When importing the DXF data into GRAFIS, the desired parts can be selected in a dialog. This means that only the required pattern pieces are imported, which optimizes the process and avoids unnecessary data.
These innovations improve the integration between VStitcher and GRAFIS and enable seamless collaboration between design and pattern development.
